1978 PONTIAC TRANS AM - "W72 400 ci V8 & 4 speed MANUAL" in its
beautiful MAYAN RED, BLACK INTERIOR and ONLY 72,990 original miles
(TMU).. This is the one folks... ordered with the "W72 Performance
Pckg" ie a 400 4-SPEED CAR (WC Coe Stamped Block) that you have
been looking for and boy is it hot (400/M21 4-Speed car, meaning it
is just one of 6,777 produced)!! One of the best sounding TA'S
we've had yet with a solid RUST FREE body in it beautiful ORIGINAL
BORN COLOR of Mayan Red and a interior that is in amazing condition
as well. P/S, P/B and a hot heater is of the few options it was
ordered with and has a aftermarket radio that currently is not
working. The bottom side is very nice, has had a high dollar
exhaust done, sounds like it may have been lightly modified but has
been done right. Paint is in very nice condition and shines like
new. Here is what we have been told about the cars history: "On
November 8, 1977, Chester F. Grochoski, Jr., a business owner,
purchased this car new from Orson E. Coe Pontiac, Inc. in Grand
Rapids, MI with just 5 miles recorded on the odometer, as stated on
the warranty booklet. The car has stayed in Michigan since and has
recently been the recipient of a restoration which was started in
2010 and since finished, only 370 miles have been recorded.
According to the build sheet and matching data tag, the car came
from the factory in Mayan Red (code 75) paint over a Black Oxen
(code 19R). Other noteworthy codes include JL2 Power Brakes, L78 V8
400 4BBL, M21 4-Speed Transmission, WS4 Trans Am, and W72
Performance Package. All engine, tranny, axel, etc. components are
numbers matching and were preserved in the restoration. It also had
a little giddy-up added. Extensive machine work was done. The motor
was professionally CNC Ported and Polished with Competition Cam and
Lifters, Performance Rollers, and Custom Exhaust installed." If you

inspected, serviced and also new belts. They only come around this
