This Mercury has been updated and restored to bring maximum joy while driving. The car turns heads everywhere I go. Unfortunately, I only know the history from when I bought it in 2000 with over 90K miles and started rebuilding it with plans to keep it forever. 390 FE (2V) Engine was rebuilt at 98K miles. C6 Transmission rebuilt at 99K miles ( has Trans-go shift kit). I replaced the fuel lines, fuel sender, pump, and carburetor. Tank was removed, ground to bare metal, coated and reinstalled. All new brake lines, calipers, master cylinder, hoses, pads, in 2020. Shock absorbers, springs, and control arms replaced in 2021. 90amp alternator added in 2022. Dual exhaust new in 2024. I added the passenger side mirror, replaced every window sweep or felt on the windows. Each door and the floor have been sound-deadened. Original radio is still in the car and still works. Stereo has been added with 6 speakers and amplifier (hands-free, Apple CarPlay). Backup mirror displays back up camera, compass, and temperature (but still have original if you want to go back). Ash tray for rear passengers holds double USB charger. Front seatbelts were moved to 3-point harness system tied to B pillars. Rear passenger seatbelts converted to 3-point system through C pillar. Still have original belts if you want to go back. Seats were covered with custom covers, but original material is underneath. Exterior lights converted to LEDs (but originals available if you want to go back). This has been a great car and wish I didn’t have to part ways with it. Car will come with all the original parts I have, shop manual, etc.
