1995 Chevrolet Impala SS For Sale This 1995 Chevrolet
Impala SS wears the color the model is best remembered for: Dark
Cherry Metallic, the deep burgundy that reads nearly black in shade
and reveals its purple-cherry depth in direct sunlight. When the
Impala SS launched for 1994 it was offered in black only; Dark
Cherry Metallic arrived the following year and has been the shade
most enthusiasts chase ever since. This example shows 72,000 miles
and presents as a well-kept survivor, described by its current
owner as a weekend-only car that was stored through the winters and
never pressed into daily-driver duty.Power comes from the 5.7L LT1
V8, the same Gen II small-block family that powered the
contemporary Corvette and Camaro, here tuned for the full-size
B-body and backed by the 4L60E four-speed automatic. The factory
3.08 Positraction rear axle is still in place. The exhaust has been
opened up to a true dual setup running through glasspacks, giving
the car a deeper, more purposeful tone than the stock system while
leaving the drivetrain otherwise factory. The Impala SS was built on
the same reinforced chassis and heavy-duty suspension that
underpinned Chevrolet's police-package Caprice, which is a large
part of why it drove the way it did. It was a full-size sedan that
handled and pulled far better than its dimensions suggested, riding
on the model's signature 17-inch aluminum wheels. Inside is the
standard gray leather interior, with front bucket seats carrying
the embroidered SS logo and a center console between them. As a
1995 car it uses the column shifter and gauge layout that preceded
the 1996 revision, which moved the shifter to the console and added
a tachometer.Maintenance under the current owner has been
consistent, including regular oil changes with a zinc additive.
Most relevant for long-term preservation, the underside was
undercoated by Ziebart in September 2025, a meaningful measure for
any car that sees exposure to a rust-belt climate. Between the
careful storage history, the recent undercoating, and the
sought-after color, this is a clean, honest example of a modern
classic that has become steadily harder to find in this
condition.NFI Empire specializes in classic, exotic, modified, and
