A true 138 1966 Chevelle SS 396 big block 4-speed. This is a two-owner classic. The current owner of the past approximately 15yrs had worked with the original owner of this iconic muscle car. Unfortunately, he passed away suddenly and his wife had to sell the car so he decided to purchase it. This car has always been garaged, adult owned and taken very good care of. She is 100% rust free and original steel throughout. The odometer has approximately 133k miles on it.
It left the factory as an RR paint code and was re-painted once by the original owner in the correct Regal Red color. The matching interior is in perfect shape from the front and back seats to the carpet, door panels and headliner. The dash is mint and still looks brand new throughout.
A date code correct 396 big block with the Muncie 4 speed is mated to a 3.23 non-posi rear differential. The original manual drum brakes are still in place as is the spare and jack assembly. There is currently a Holley carburetor installed and aftermarket air cleaner. However, the original carburetor is in a box and it includes the original snorkel air cleaner as well. A new gas tank was installed and all the gauges, lights, etc. are fully functional. This one drives beautifully and is ready to go anywhere in the country or to the shows.
