We love our British Classics and this beautiful TR4 exemplifies why-such a wonderful old sports car. Built by the factory with the best options available on a TR4 at the time-Factory Surrey Top and Factory Overdrive Transmission. Yep, not your ordinary TR4, this one has the very desirable, and some say very necessary, overdrive transmission that drops the RPMs enough to make this a venerable highway cruiser. Add in a wonderful Surrey Top that can transform this car into an open-air roadster, a hardtop when the aluminum panel is in place, and a convertible when the top bows and new vinyl top section are in place.

Per the Heritage Certificate, this wonderful TR was born Powder Blue with Blue Leather, just as it has been restored. The beneficiary of a quality ground-up restoration some time ago, this car is ready for the show circuit or to simply be driven and enjoyed. The single-stage paint presents beautifully and is applied over wonderful factory metal. We have wet sanded and color polished the paint to a wonderful finish. This car started its life in California and, to our eye, has never been rusty. The original engine, per the stampings and the Heritage Certificate, performs wonderfully. The overdrive transmission is spot on. The interior is very neat and tidy, and the underside is clean and straight.

We like the rally car look of the dual fog lights up front as a slight departure from stock. That look is carried through the rear with a simple straight new bumper without the obligatory overriders. We think the rally look suits this car beautifully and is further enhanced by the Minilite-style wheels shod in a very nice, beefy tire.
