INTRODUCTION: Experience the exhilaration of a Cobra with a touch
of added comfort! This one is equipped with an automatic
transmission, luxurious leather upholstery, a premium stereo
system, and a convertible top, features typically not found in a
Cobra.
EXTERIOR: Finished in classic Daytona Blue Metallic with iconic
white racing stripes, this Cobra has the classic look enthusiasts
dream about. The lightweight body features the signature scoop
hood, functional fender louvers, stainless bumpers, bullet-style
mirrors, a windshield with visors and wing windows, a single hoop
roll bar, and the signature flip up racing fuel cap. It's sitting
on a brand new set of Shelby style knockoff spinner wheels wrapped
in performance tires, giving it an aggressive, authentic stance.
The body is straight, the gaps fit well, and the paint has a
beautiful, glossy finish that makes this Cobra look every bit as
exciting standing still as it is on the road. This one also has the
unique feature of a convertible top and side windows.
INTERIOR: It has a true race inspired feel, but with a more refined
touch. It's upholstered entirely in leather, including the seats,
door panels, and dash, giving it a richer appearance than a typical
Cobra. It features an automatic transmission cleverly disguised
with a manual style shifter, so it maintains the classic look. A
tilt steering column- an uncommon and welcome upgrade is topped
with a beautiful Nardi wood rim steering wheel. The dash is filled
with a full array of gauges, racing style toggle switches, and a
working clock. For modern enjoyment, it has a quality stereo system
with door mounted speakers and tweeters, speakers behind the seats,
and a subwoofer. Racing harnesses are provided for both driver and
passenger, and the doors are opened with convenient push button
poppers.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Lift the lightweight hood and you'll find a
stout 351W built for spirited driving. It's equipped with aluminum
Edelbrock heads, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and an Edelbrock
carb for strong, reliable performance. It features an MSD ignition,
a set of headers wrapped in heat shielding to help control
underhood temperatures, an aluminum water pump, and a large
electric cooling fan. The engine is dressed with classic Cobra
finned aluminum valve covers and matching air cleaner, along with a
chrome alternator for a clean appearance. It also features power
brakes and a new set of horns.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The carpeted trunk is clean and well finished.
It houses the battery with a master disconnect switch along with a
powerful 1,000-watt amplifier, yet still offers enough usable space
to accommodate the convertible top and side windows when they're
stored.
UNDERSIDE: It is clean, well built, and engineered for both
performance and drivability. Up front is a rebuilt Mustang II
independent suspension with brand new adjustable coilover gas
shocks, a sway bar, and rack-and-pinion steering for modern
handling. A sturdy boxed frame leads back to a four link rear
suspension with matching adjustable coilover shocks. It has front
disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a functional emergency brake
assembly. Looking up at the drivetrain, you'll find an extra
capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. The C4 automatic
transmission makes this Cobra much easier and more enjoyable to
drive than a traditional manual, especially in traffic. A shortened
driveshaft transfers power to a durable Ford 8.8-inch rear end
equipped with 3.50 posi gears. Overall, the underside is clean,
properly assembled, and reflects the quality of the build.

hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: We originally sold this Cobra 15 years ago and were
thrilled to buy it back from the same owner. Another unique
advantage is that it's titled as a 1966 Ford Cobra and even carries
a CSX VIN number, just like the original Shelby Cobras- a rare and
desirable detail.
