Beautiful restoration on a 1972 Heavy Chevy. Repainted in the original color code 57 Golden Brown Poly with correct Heavy Chevy wheels and Wide Oval radial tires. Factory ordered with H Code 350 2 bbl now has crate 454 with 9.0:1 KB Performance pistons, freshly ground crankshaft, Elgin Prostock cam with Chevrolet performance lifters and 72 cast iron heads. Muncie M-20 4 speed and 12 bolt posi rear with 3:31 gears. The car performed flawlessly during a few trips down the quarter mile. Rolling easy off the line was very pleased to run a 13.818 @ 102.73 It takes about 330 rear wheel horsepower or about 390 to 410 flywheel H.P. and 450 to 470 lb-ft. of torque to accomplish that with 3:31 gears. Engine, trans, and clutch operate excellent, brakes work perfectly. Engine is dry top to bottom, nothing leaks on the car. Carb and intake manifold have remained that clean for 1241 miles, at least for the 701 miles that I have driven the car. Choke and fast idle function very well. All gauges work including quartz clock and fasten seat belt light. Purchased last November from Cruisin Classics in Columbus with 540 miles on the odometer, now has 1241 miles.
