Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1965 Ford Mustang
Coupe. The car is dressed in white paint that has a nice shine with
a few minor imperfections here and there that simply reflect a
well-loved classic. The chrome and bright work all present in very
good condition, the glass is crystal clear, and all exterior lights
work just as it should. Completing the look is a set of chrome
5-spoke AWG Cragar-style wheels wrapped in nearly new BF Goodrich
Radial T/A tires that give this Mustang the perfect period-correct
stance. Open the door, and you'll find a black Pony interior that's
aged gracefully and still feels remarkably original. The factory
wood-grain steering wheel, working Rally Pac, factory center
console, and desirable 4-speed Top Loader immediately grab your
attention. The seats, carpet, headliner, dash, and door panels all
show extremely well, with newer weatherstripping and window seals
helping the car feel nice and tight. This is also a factory A/C car
that still retains its Ford under-dash unit, now updated to R-134a
refrigerant. A JVC stereo has been added for modern tunes, all the
gauges function properly, and aside from an aging rear package tray
that could easily be freshened up, the interior is in great
condition for the age!
Under the hood is home to A 289 cubic-inch V8. This Mustang is also
a (A-code) car, meaning it left the factory with a 4-barrel
carburetor and 225 horsepower, making it noticeably more desirable
than the standard C-Code cars. The engine bay still carries a very
stock appearance with its gold-painted valve covers and air
cleaner, while benefiting from the addition of an Edelbrock AVS2
4-barrel carburetor for improved performance and drivability.
Backing the small-block is the legendary Ford 4-speed Top Loader
transmission, sending power through a Ford 8-inch rear axle with a
3.00 gear and open rear end. Power steering makes it an easy
cruiser, while newer drum brakes at all four corners and a newer
dual-reservoir master cylinder provide confidence behind the
wheel.
Whether you're looking for your first classic Mustang or adding
another Blue Oval icon to the collection, this one checks a lot of
the right boxes. It's an honest, well-optioned A-Code car with the
desirable 4-speed, factory air conditioning, Rally Pac, Pony
interior, power steering, and the kind of originality that's
getting harder to find every year. It's not an over-restored
trailer queen, and that's exactly what makes it so appealing. This
is a Mustang you won't be afraid to drive, enjoy, and show off
every chance you get-a true American classic that's ready for its
next caretaker.
