Finished in striking Yellow over a beautifully preserved Dark
Saddle leather interior, this 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is an
exceptionally well-kept example of Americas legendary sports car.
Originally sold new through Stoddard Chevrolet of Albany, Oregon,
this Corvette is believed to have traveled just 17,530 miles from
new and retains the classic styling, comfort, and unmistakable
performance that made the C3 Corvette an icon.
Power comes from the legendary 454 cubic-inch LS4 V8, paired with a
smooth-shifting Turbo Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission
and a Positraction limited-slip differential, delivering the
effortless torque and exhilarating performance expected from
Chevrolets final full-size big-block Corvette era. Previous
ownership upgraded the engine with a solid camshaft and lifters,
while induction has been enhanced with a Holley four-barrel
carburetor and Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. The engine
compartment presents exceptionally well, featuring the correct
factory-style Chevrolet Orange painted engine and factory-painted
stamped steel valve covers, preserving the authentic appearance of
the original LS4 big-block while benefiting from tasteful
performance enhancements. Factory 1973 LS4 Corvettes were equipped
with painted orange stamped steel valve covers rather than chrome
covers, making this engine bay an excellent representation of the
cars original appearance.
The bright Yellow exterior showcases the timeless Coke-bottle
styling of the C3 Corvette and is accented by a front-hinged domed
hood, pop-up headlights, removable roof panels, and Rally-style
wheels wrapped in 245/65 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. With its
aggressive stance and unmistakable big-block presence, this
Corvette looks every bit as impressive today as it did when
new.
Inside, the cockpit features well-preserved Dark Saddle leather
bucket seats surrounded by a matching interior that reflects the
cars careful ownership. Comfort and convenience features include
power windows, factory air conditioning, a tilt and telescoping
steering column, heater, and the signature aircraft-inspired
Corvette dashboard. The center stack houses auxiliary gauges for
fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, battery condition, and
an analog clock. The factory AM/FM radio is currently intermittent,
while the five-digit odometer displays just 18,000 miles.
Engineered for both comfort and performance, this Corvette is
equipped with power steering, power-assisted four-wheel ventilated
disc brakes, and Chevrolets fully independent four-wheel
suspension, providing confident handling and braking that helped
define the Corvette as Americas premier sports car.
Whether you are looking for an investment-quality C3, a highly
original big-block cruiser, or an eye-catching addition to a
serious Corvette collection, this 1973 LS4 Coupe offers outstanding
provenance, desirable factory equipment, tasteful performance
upgrades, and exceptional presentation.
