Beautiful, impeccable, fastidiously owned first generation F-150 Lightning. Number 2110 of just 2280 produced by the Ford 'Special Vehicle Team'. The first gen Lightening was just a three year run (93-95) are are quickly becoming quite collectible. Only offered in three colors, Oxford White, Bright Red and what we have here, Ebony Black.
This is just a TWO family owned truck. Both being incredibly fussy with big attention to details. It's been said that this truck has never seen a rain drop and I believe it. It's most recent owner bought it in 2013. During his ownership he's replaced the tires (2016), valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, a tune-up using Motorcraft parts only and with the exception of the blue Motorsport ignition wires which were kept because they are period correct and not reproduced and they were / are in fine condition. The previous owner added a tasteful and expensive Cervini fiberglass hood. They also added a water temp and oil pressure gauge to the a-pillar. Tasteful and useful. Looks almost factory installed.
The overall condition of this truck is terrific. Super shiny paint with very few flaws. A few small chips on the front bumper and a very small dent on the right bedside that I'm quite sure can be removed by a good PDR guy. All FIVE wheels are are correct and in great condition. Yes, it's recent owner sourced a matching, original spare wheel.
The interior is spotless. Hardly a flaw to point out but will note some wear on the original leather wrapped steering wheel (see pics). The power lumbar switches on both seats are inop but the bolster power operation does work. Yes, the A/C BLOWS ICE COLD. The stereo is aftermarket and operates fine. Power windows, locks and mirrors all work as designed. A clean, unpainted undercarriage and engine bay.
The truck runs and drives great. Just as you'd expect. You'd swear this truck was 3 years old. Most of these got beat up, abused and left outside. Here is a rare opportunity. If you have been looking at these trucks for very long, you know exactly what I mean.
The truck comes with a clean, Rhode Island title. The odometer shows 94,349 miles. You'd think it should be 4,349.
