Offered with No Reserve is this beautifully restored 1950 Ford F-4
Stake Body Truck, an outstanding example of a classic farm truck
with a powerful modern performance upgrade hidden beneath its
vintage appearance. While retaining the unmistakable styling of a
stock 1950 Ford, this exceptional truck benefits from a
comprehensive body-off restoration completed approximately eight
years ago, along with a host of carefully executed mechanical and
cosmetic improvements. Power comes from a professionally rebuilt
Ford 460ci V8 featuring aluminum cylinder heads and a roller
camshaft, producing an estimated 500 horsepower. The engine rebuild
alone exceeded $10,000. Power is transferred through a completely
rebuilt C6 automatic transmission, while the rebuilt Dana 70 rear
axle and fully rebuilt front suspension and braking system ensure
confident road manners. The restoration was completed to a high
standard throughout. Original split rims have been replaced with
solid rims of the same size fitted with newer tires. The stake bed
features beautiful new oak wood planking accented by stainless
steel hold-down strips. Inside, the dashboard, gauges, speedometer,
and odometer have all been professionally restored, the bench seat
has been reupholstered, and all window glass has been replaced. A
new flat firewall was installed, and the truck was completely
rewired and upgraded to a reliable 12-volt electrical system.
Finished in a striking high-quality green exterior, this F-4
presents exceptionally well and combines classic 1950s styling with
modern V8 performance and reliability. Whether displayed at shows,
driven to cruise-ins, or added to a serious collection, this is one
of the finest restored Ford farm trucks with a tasteful modern
twist you are likely to find. Sold with registration
