The engine stamping includes the vehicle's matching VIN sequence, while the RF suffix corresponds to the 360-horsepower, fuel-injected 327 intended for use with a manual transmission.

The 1963 Corvette was also the first production Corvette equipped with independent front and rear suspension. Its rear suspension uses a transverse leaf spring, creating more sophisticated handling than the solid-axle Corvettes that came before it. Braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted drums, with the front wheel cylinders replaced in 2025.

Inside, the factory Trim Code 490L red vinyl interior features matching carpeting and door panels. The cockpit includes bucket seats, an AM/FM radio, a 160-mph speedometer, and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer displays approximately 53,000 miles, although total mileage is unknown. The clock is currently inoperative.
