Known as The Haviland Special as it was built by Warren Haviland and during its time racing was driven by Vern Harriman, Graham Roy, "Wild" Bill Gallagher, Pew Wee Southcott, Roger Beech, and Joe "Pop" Graham just to name a few.

Ownership-

History documents show that the Kurtis ran under the #12 and #17 along with once being owned by Ray and Fannie Barnes of New York. During their ownership, the racecar was known as Slo-Poke of which it was not slow at all. The car eventually made its way into the Dennis Carpenter Collection in Concord, NC.

Power-

Currently powered by a 60 H.P. Ford Flathead V8, history shows that at one time it had been Offy powered for a few years.

Other unique features that make it a Kurtis Kraft are the Halibrand rear end, Norden steering, Kurtis gas tank and Kurtis seat.

Included with the sale are photos and historical documentation of the racecar's history.
