true icon of the American automotive golden age, this stunning 1959
Cadillac Series 62 Convertible combines unmistakable styling with
effortless luxury. Reportedly displayed at the Petersen Automotive
Museum in Los Angeles before being acquired by its current owner in
2025, this Cadillac presents beautifully in its factory-correct
Seminole Red finish with an elegant Ivory power-operated
convertible top over a striking red and white leather interior.
Power is provided by Cadillac's legendary 390 cubic-inch V8,
factory rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired
with the smooth-shifting four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic
transmission. Equipped with power steering, power-assisted brakes,
and a six-way power-adjustable front bench seat, this Series 62
delivers the effortless driving experience Cadillac was renowned
for. The dramatic exterior showcases the styling that made the 1959
Cadillac an American icon, highlighted by its soaring
chrome-trimmed tail fins, fender skirts, polished brightwork,
chrome bumpers, and 15-inch steel wheels fitted with Cadillac crest
wheel covers and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. The
power-operated convertible top features new hydraulic components
installed in preparation for the sale. Inside, the luxurious cabin
is finished in coordinated red and white leather upholstery with
matching door panels and dashboard. Amenities include a push-button
AM radio, heater, locking glovebox, front center armrest, factory
E-Z-Eye tinted glass, and Cadillac's innovative Autronic-Eye
automatic headlight dimming system. Replacement red carpeting and
Cadillac-branded rubber floor mats complete the well-presented
interior. Recent maintenance includes an oil change in October
2025, alternator replacement in April 2026, and replacement of the
convertible top hydraulic system. The five-digit odometer currently
displays approximately 12,000 miles and is noted to have rolled
over, with approximately 100 miles added under current ownership.
According to the factory body plate, this Cadillac was originally
built as a 1959 Series 62 Convertible finished in Seminole Red with
an Ivory soft top and trimmed in white and red leather upholstery.
One of just 11,130 Series 62 convertibles produced for the 1959
model year, this exceptional Cadillac represents one of the most
recognizable and celebrated American luxury automobiles ever built.
