1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE - Rotisserie Restored 707 HP Hellcat
Restomod Professionally Engineered Restomod • Rotisserie
Restoration • Documented Build • 2018 Hellcat Drivetrain • 8HP90
Transmission Representing the ultimate combination of classic Mopar
design and modern performance engineering, this 1970 Dodge
Challenger R/T SE is a fully documented, rotisserie-restored
Hellcat-powered restomod completed in 2021. Built with a meticulous
attention to detail, this Challenger showcases a level of
craftsmanship, planning, and execution rarely seen in custom
builds. Finished in its factory-correct FK5 Dark Burnt Orange
Metallic, the car presents the iconic appearance that made the 1970
Challenger a legend while incorporating carefully selected modern
performance upgrades. The functional Shaker hood, R/T SE styling,
and aggressive E-body proportions remain the centerpiece of the
design, while the modern drivetrain and chassis upgrades transform
it into a contemporary performance machine. At the heart of the
build is a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat 6.2-liter Supercharged
HEMI V8, factory rated at 707 horsepower, paired with the advanced
ZF-based 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination
provides exceptional power delivery, modern drivability, and the
reliability expected from a factory-engineered performance
platform. The chassis was comprehensively upgraded with a complete
QA1 suspension system, including QA1 tubular front and rear
K-members and Hotchkis front and rear sway bars. The suspension
architecture was designed to provide improved handling, rigidity,
and road manners while maintaining the classic Challenger driving
experience. A durable Mopar 8-inch rear axle equipped with 3.23:1
gears and a Detroit Truetrac limited-slip differentialcompletes the
drivetrain package, providing reliable traction and excellent
street performance. Braking capability matches the performance of
the Hellcat powerplant with a Hydratech Hydroboost braking system,
Baer master cylinder reservoir, Baer six-piston front disc brakes,
and Baer four-piston rear disc brakes with drilled and slotted
rotors. The interior combines classic Challenger character with
modern comfort and technology. 2016 Dodge Challenger seats and
center console provide contemporary ergonomics, while the rear seat
delete creates a purposeful performance-oriented cabin. A Dakota
Digital gauge package supplies modern instrumentation with a clean,
factory-inspired appearance. The entertainment system features a
Kenwood DMX907S multimedia head unit integrated with a premium JL
Audio sound system, including upgraded speakers and dual 8-inch JL
Audio subwoofers. The build is completed with 18-inch American
Racing Boss 208 wheels, providing the ideal balance of classic
muscle car styling and modern performance capability. Documented
Build History This Challenger is accompanied by extensive
documentation, including a comprehensive photographic record of the
restoration and build process, detailed schematics, and a complete
build catalog. The documentation provides valuable insight into the
engineering, fabrication, component selection, and assembly of this
unique restomod. Rather than being simply a finished custom
vehicle, this Challenger comes with the supporting records that
demonstrate the level of planning and workmanship invested
throughout the transformation. Highlights Rotisserie restoration
