1982 Mercedes-Benz 500SL Euro (R107) – 88,000 Miles – Long-Term Ownership – $26,500
Offered for sale is my 1982 Mercedes-Benz 500SL Euro, part of the highly regarded R107 generation.
I have owned this car since 2000, and it has been garage kept throughout my 26 years of ownership. It currently shows approximately 88,000 miles and runs and drives well with no known mechanical issues.
I am selling it simply because I no longer drive it enough to justify keeping it in storage. After so many years of ownership, I would much rather see it go to an enthusiast who will appreciate it, drive it, and continue to care for it properly.
The car includes both the removable hardtop and the convertible soft top, and both are in excellent condition.
The interior presents well overall. The driver’s seat has normal age-related wear, including a small tear, which is clearly shown in the photographs. I also purchased a set of fitted seat covers for the car but never installed them. They are included with the sale and are also pictured.
The Blaupunkt cassette radio was functioning properly until recently. I believe the issue may simply be a fuse located behind the radio, but I have not disassembled the dash to investigate it further.
