Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Pontiac Formula which comes with factory t-tops and an upgraded 400 Pontiac engine. This Formula features believed to be original Sierra Copper paint, a mostly original Camel interior, an upgraded Pontiac 400 engine and automatic transmission, Factory T Tops, and numerous service records. This Formula was rust proofed when new. The underside is solid with no visible patches or corrosion issues. This Formula is finished in the desirable color combinations of Sierra Copper over Camel Hobnail Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.
Exterior
The Sierra Copper exterior is in decent believed to be original condition. This Formula has original paint, decals, and trim. The paint is in decent overall condition and has not be restored and both bumpers are in good shape. There are some imperfections around the car that may not be noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and the 15" Rally II wheels have been restored with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good overall condition. Trunk is solid and clean with the factory correct trunk mat. The underside of this Formula is solid with no visible rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.
Interior
The Camel deluxe interior of this Formula is in mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in good overall condition with no rips or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet was replaced with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in good shape as is the dash bezel. The stereo works great and sounds good and was upgraded to a digital CD player. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the tach which is not working. The temp and oil pressure gauges work in the pod in the map pocket. The horn works. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Formula is in good mechanical condition and the engine was upgraded to a Pontiac 400 engine. This engine runs good and the car drives good down the road. Dual exhaust was added with headers and gives this car a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. A new starter was added. A new alternator and battery were added. A new fuel pump was added. We have driven this car a few times and it performed well, it did not run hot, and its a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Formula is a nice driver that feels good on the road. It starts up well and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay area and adds to performance.
