1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Big Block 4-Speed in green on green
with 47,741 miles showing. This Chevelle rocks the numbers-matching
396 cubic inch big-block V8 paired to a Hurst-shifted close-ratio
Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. It's a non-AC car equipped with
factory astro ventilation and ball-style vents for airflow. The
restoration appears to be 10-15 years old with quality paint, fresh
seals, and excellent panel fit. All gauges and lights function
properly except the passenger-side high beam. The radio works, HVAC
controls operate through all settings including heat and defrost,
wipers tuck away cleanly, and the washer reservoir is full.
Push-button washer pump functions. Turn signals, parking lights,
headlights, cigarette lighter, and parking brake all operate as
designed. The Hurst shifter moves through gears with tight linkage
and no slop. Reverse detent engages properly with working reverse
lights. Glove box contains reproduction original literature. The
car rides smoothly with no unusual noises or rattles. Day/night
mirror adjustment works. This Chevelle came with a college parking
sticker from Virginia in the early 1970s when it was nearly new.
Green exterior over green interior. Runs strong and shifts
clean.
