LaFontaine Classic Cars is proud to present this genuine Kansas
built 1969 El Camino SS, now finished in LeMans Blue with Black SS
stripes. However its ""SS"" pedigree comes from its original ""SS""
only paint (code 76) Daytona Yellow! For those that do not know
this color was exclusive to Super Sport optioned El Caminos and
Chevelles of the year. This example retains its authentic SS
pedigree with its original trim tag while benefiting from a
tasteful color change. Additionally the black vinyl roof was
installed in 2023 and shows well!
Power comes from a professionally built 402ci Chevy Big Block V8
paired with a TH400 automatic transmission backed by a 12-bolt GM
Axle spinning 3:31 gears. Performance upgrades include a Howards
hydraulic roller camshaft, Weiand Stealth aluminum intake manifold,
Brawler 4-barrel carburetor, HEI electronic ignition, CVF Racing
Billet 6-rib serpentine drive system, and cooling is handled buy a
3in thick Aluminium Radiator with Dual electric Fans. The Exhaust
is fed by ceramic coated long-tube headers feeding a 3-inch dual
exhaust with Borla Stainless Steel mufflers! This has a killer big

Inside, the cabin features parchment bucket seats, a center
console, factory tachometer, SS steering wheel, fully functional
gauges, a RetroSound radio, and Vintage Air heater and A/C
controls. Blending classic muscle with some modern comforts makes
for a very enjoyable driving experience.
Underneath this El Camino is very sanitary. It boasts a clean, rust
free, and coated frame. The floor pans are original and are also
rock solid! Completing the look are the iconic 15-inch Cragar S/S
wheels wrapped in 235/60R15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T
tires.
