Super clean C4 Corvette. 383 cubic inch stroker V8, upgraded to ZF
6-speed manual. Great color combination, beautiful original paint.
Everything works. Cool Forgeline wheels. An affordable C4 with big
horsepower and a great look!90s nostalgia is back, and in the early
1990s, cars like this 1987 Chevrolet Corvette were kings of the
street. They had great style, lots of accessible performance, and
were genuinely comfortable long-distance cruisers. This particular
C4 Corvette is wrapped in beautiful Dark Red Metallic paint, which
has a hint of copper to it, and gives the car an iridescent look in
the sunlight. We believe that's all original paint, and it's a
testament to the care this car has received over the past 40 years.
Details like the urethane bumpers, side moldings, and transparent
top are in excellent condition, all components that seem to age
first. Gaps are factory-spec all around and all the plastic lenses
and other details remain in very good condition. The C4's styling
has held up rather well, and these cars still get appreciative
glances in traffic today, suggesting that they're special to a lot
of people. These cars remain the biggest bang for the buck in the
collector car world. The tan leather interior is a beautiful
complement to the dark red paint. The Corvette was all about tech
in the late '80s, so that means a digital dashboard (fully
operational, by the way), supportive bucket seats that adjust in
about a million different way, and a driver-oriented cockpit that
still feels contemporary. The leather-wrapped wheel feels great in
your hands and you'll note aftermarket carbon-fiber dash and
console appliques that give it a high-tech look. As mentioned,
everything works, including cold A/C and a decent-sounding
AM/FM/cassette stereo system. And perhaps most notably, there's a
genuine ZF 6-speed manual in the center console, replacing the
clunky Doug Nash 4+3 gearbox and making this Corvette an absolute
joy to drive. The carpets are in great condition and the seats show
only modest wear for the mileage and age. Under the hatch, there's
decent storage and this car still includes its original cargo
shade, which is a nice find. The original L98 was pretty good for
reliability and torque, but today there's a built 383 cubic inch
stroker V8 with an LT1-style fuel injection system. Chevy 383s are
known for their outstanding torque curve and willingness to rev,
and this is no exception, launching the C4 with effortless ease and
giving it considerably more performance than stock. We don't have
details on the build, but it's a known formula that was perfected
decades ago, and they're proven reliable runners with thousands of
383s out on the road today. It still looks mostly OEM under the
hood save for the chrome valve covers, and there's a lot of new
gear including a fresh alternator, new clutch master cylinder, and
fresh belts and hoses. It's tidy underneath, not detailed for show,
but driver-grade so you won't think twice about getting in and
going somewhere. The ZF 6-speed shifts beautifully, and feeds the
original Dana 44 rear end, which has tall 3.07 gears inside, making
this a spectacular high-speed cruiser on the highway. The
Corvette's suspension is a great combination of impressive handling
and decent ride quality, and the brakes, as always, are powerful.
Long-tube headers feed an aftermarket exhaust system that sounds
great but is showing some age, and the quad tips out back just look
menacing. And for the perfect '90s performance look, those 17-inch
Forgeline polished aluminum wheels are the right choice, wearing
285/40/17 Goodyear radials.Look at the condition, the upgrades, and
the price, and you'll probably agree that there's a lot of
performance-per-dollar in this Corvette. We love the handsome look,
but it's the flexible and potent 383 that really won our hearts. A
great driving Corvette that's easy to own. Call today!Harwood
