Special Deluxe represents the perfect blend of timeless pre-war
styling and modern drivability. Following a comprehensive frame-off
restoration by Abacus Racing of Norfolk, Virginia, this beautifully
restored sedan was built for the Gomez family of Virginia Beach
with no expense spared. Finished in a deep, high-gloss black, the
rust-free body is accented by polished chrome and stainless trim,
factory-correct bumper guards, hood ornament, sun visor, rear
fender skirts, and wide whitewall tires, creating a stunning
presentation that remains faithful to the car's original
character.Beneath the hood, this Special Deluxe has been
transformed into a reliable touring machine with the addition of a
brand-new GM 350 cubic-inch crate engine paired with a new
automatic overdrive transmission. Performance upgrades include an
aluminum intake manifold, custom stainless-steel headers flowing
into a dual exhaust system, a Be Cool aluminum radiator, and a
March pulley system with air conditioning and an alternator. A Ford
9-inch rear end, power steering, and upgraded front disc brakes
further enhance the driving experience, making this classic
Chevrolet as comfortable on today's highways as it is at local
cruise nights. The interior has received the same level of attention
as the mechanical components. Paul's Custom Interiors of Virginia
Beach crafted an all-new cabin with more than $8,400 invested,
while the factory woodgrain dashboard, original steering wheel,
gauges, and clocks have all been professionally restored. A new
Ididit steering column complements the updated driving position,
and modern conveniences such as vintage air conditioning and heat,
upgraded front and rear seat belts, and a discreet Pioneer AM/FM/CD
stereo hidden in the glovebox provide comfort and practicality
without sacrificing the car's vintage appeal. This Chevrolet also
benefits from numerous thoughtful upgrades designed for long-term
reliability and ease of ownership. An upgraded 12-volt electrical
system, relocated trunk-mounted battery, new rubber gaskets and
moldings throughout, and additional period-inspired accessories
like the vent window air deflector and driver's-side traffic
viewfinder showcase the meticulous attention to detail invested
during the restoration. With approximately 67,000 original miles
shown on the Virginia title and over $75,000 in documented
restoration work supported by receipts and paperwork, this Special
Deluxe offers exceptional peace of mind.Whether you're searching
for a dependable weekend cruiser, a standout addition to a classic
car collection, or a vintage Chevrolet that can confidently tackle
long-distance tours, this 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe is ready to
impress. Combining iconic styling with tasteful modern upgrades, it
starts easily, runs and drives beautifully, and offers the comfort
and reliability to be enjoyed by the entire family for years to
come.
