Dear Landcruiser enthusiast(s),
sadly I must sell my beloved Land Cruiser here.
I have been travelling from Vienna (Austria) to Dakar (Senegal) over the last 3 months.
Unfortunately, I did not get in advance that it is impossible to permanently import older cars into the country. Since I am in the process to establish a business here and I need a local car here, I must sell this car now (I wish that was not the case - because I wanted to travel with the car further down to Gabon (the purpose I bought the car for) and visit some monkeys once the business is fully operational).
Over my journey across Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain, Marocco and Mauretania as well as here in Senegal, the car was/is driving smoothly.
In Marocco, I needed to change the engine by a professional mechanic (working closely with insurance companies) since the former one was not working properly any longer.
I must admit that I am not the most car-technical person - however, after the repair/upgrade the car's engine and the car overall feels way stronger and reactive. There is now the 2L Toyota Hilux 2.4.-Diesel engine (57 kW instead of 53 kW) installed - it runs perfectly. To illustrate this to you as well as to experience the car in live I'd be happy to have a video call to show you the car and all functionalities/aspects directly.
The estimation of the car's mileage coverage is 272.000 km or 169 miles. Some Land Cruiser's reach up to 1 Million km or 621 miles. Thus, the car is roughly at 25% of it's potential lifespan. Sadly, the odometer does not work.
Additionally, the Landcruiser has two brand new batteries (purchase: 06/26).
Furthermore, it is offered with a completely new spare tyre and wheel rim.
The car has the official Austrian paragraph 57a certification (prerequisite for usage and insurance) - it is valid until December 2026.
The price is negotiable. As for now, shipping from Dakar to the US East-Coast, UK or Europe via roll-on ferry is included.
The bench in the back (the car has officially 5 seats) as well as all other related equipment is now in Vienna (I used the back for having a bed inside the car).
Obviously, also the shipment of this would be included in the indicated price.
Since the car is older than 25 years, the US import tax, unlike for new cars, is only 2,5% instead of 25% (due to tariffs...). Also this import tax is included in the price.
