Selling an absolute powerhouse 1972 Chevrolet Nova, badged as an SS and built to be driven, heard, and enjoyed. She is not a trailer queen—this is a true street/strip machine finished in a striking Silver exterior over a fresh, all-black interior. It is powered by a fully machined, purpose-built 468 cubic inch Big Block Chevy V8 (454 block bored .030 over) that runs beautifully, sounds incredibly aggressive, and easily produces an estimated 500–550 HP.

The car is fully assembled and running. Serious buyers can hear it run and see it move in person.

⚙️ DRIVETRAIN & PERFORMANCE:

  • Engine Displacement: 468 Cubic Inches (Original 454 Block bored .030 over). High-durability GM Heavy Duty Casting (Casting #361959). Upgraded with high-compression performance pistons to match the high-flow top end.
  • Transmission: Heavy-duty built TH350 Automatic Transmission equipped with a 2500 RPM Stall Converter—flashes perfectly into the power band for aggressive launches while remaining perfectly mannered on weekend cruises.
  • Rear End: 3.73 Posi-Trac rear differential. The perfect street/strip gear ratio—provides hard acceleration off the line while keeping engine RPMs reasonable on local roads.
  • Cylinder Heads: Genuine GM "781" Heavy-Breathing Castings (Casting #336781). Widely considered the absolute best factory oval-port iron heads GM ever produced for maximum airflow and massive torque.
  • Camshaft & Lifters: High-performance Solid Mechanical Flat Tappet Camshaft. Features an aggressive performance power band that pulls incredibly hard past 6,000 RPM with a savage mechanical idle. Meticulously maintained on Valvoline VR1 10W-30 High-Zinc Oil to protect the flat-tappet configuration.
  • Valve Train: Premium Roller-Tip Rocker Arms with solid poly-locks to eliminate friction and hold lash adjustments locked tight.
  • Induction & Fueling: Genuine Weiand Team G Single-Plane High-Rise Aluminum Intake Manifold paired with a carburetor spacer and a high-performance Holley 4150 Series Mechanical Secondary ("Double Pumper") Carburetor (Model #11038-6) for instant throttle response.
  • Ignition & Exhaust: Upgraded MSD Ignition System, ultra-thick Taylor "409" Spiro-Pro 10.4mm Race Wires, and large-diameter Hedman Long-Tube Headers for maximum exhaust velocity.

💎 BODY, PAINT & INTERIOR:

  • Paint, Body, & Trim: Finished in a very nice, driver-quality Silver paint job that shines beautifully at local car shows, cruise-ins, and on the street. The car wears clean SS badging that perfectly matches its high-performance persona. The body is extremely solid with straight lines, excellent gaps, and great structural integrity.
  • Interior: All-new Black interior from top to bottom. Seats, carpets, dash, and panels are fresh, clean, crisp, and ready to go.

📝 SELLER NOTES:

"This '72 Nova is an absolute beast. It looks incredible with the silver paint and classic SS badging, sounds incredibly nasty, and pulls like a freight train. The 3.73 Posi combined with the 2500 stall makes it a blast to drive. If you're looking for a spotless car to sit under a cover in a bubble, look elsewhere—this is an honest, rowdy muscle car meant to be driven and enjoyed out on the open road. Clean title in hand. Will consider partial trades plus cash on your end. No tire kickers or lowballers—serious inquiries only."
