A rare Spanish-built Land Rover Series III 88, restored and ready to enjoy.
Offered for sale is a 1978 Land Rover Series III 88, built under license by Santana Motor in Linares, Spain, and first registered in February 1978 in the province of Jaén, where it has remained ever since. Santana Land Rovers were assembled for the Spanish market and are rarely seen in the United States, making this a distinctive alternative to the British-built Series trucks — with the added advantage of factory left-hand drive.
The vehicle is finished in its handsome dark blue and has been thoughtfully refreshed over time: rather than a ground-up restoration hiding an unknown past, this is an honest, well-kept Santana whose mechanicals have been serviced continuously and whose cosmetic updates — reupholstered seats, new tires, new hood sticks and canvas top, and a new wooden cargo floor — bring it to a condition you can be proud of and enjoy immediately. It wears the iconic "Land-Rover Santana" grille badge and retains its original Santana data plate.
