Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to offer this exceptional 1987 GMC Sierra 1500 Custom Restomod, a professionally built square-body pickup combining timeless GMC styling with modern fuel injection, overdrive drivability, premium suspension components, serious braking capability, and an extraordinary custom interior.

The exterior is finished in a striking two-tone combination of metallic copper and cream. The rich copper finish covers the upper body and bed, while the cream lower section and roof provide a tasteful contrast that works perfectly with the truck's original Sierra Classic body lines. Bright chrome bumpers, polished trim, Sierra Classic 1500 badging, and a color-matched bed with textured protective coating complete the presentation.

Power comes from a built Chevrolet 350ci V8 equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection. The EFI system provides easier cold starts, improved throttle response, and modern fuel control while retaining the sound and character of a traditional small-block Chevrolet. A Holley Sniper handheld display is mounted inside the custom console for monitoring and adjustment.

The engine is backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, giving the truck strong street performance with more relaxed engine speed during highway driving. Long-tube headers feed a performance dual-exhaust system, producing the deep, muscular exhaust note expected from a properly built square-body.

The engine compartment is clean and color coordinated, featuring a CVF front accessory-drive system, aluminum radiator, power steering, and neatly arranged components. Custom hood hinges add another polished detail when the hood is raised.

Underneath, this Sierra is equipped with premium QA1 suspension components and front and rear coilovers. The adjustable suspension gives the truck its aggressive lowered stance while providing improved ride quality and handling compared with the original suspension.

A custom narrowed 12-bolt rear end and widened rear wheel tubs allow the truck to accommodate its substantial rear wheel and tire package. The 22-inch polished billet wheels are wrapped in 265/30ZR22 front and massive 335/25ZR22 rear tires, creating a wide, planted appearance without overpowering the classic body design.

Braking performance has been substantially upgraded with Wilwood power disc brakes. The Wilwood master-cylinder hardware is neatly installed and complements the truck's performance-oriented chassis and suspension upgrades.

The interior is one of the most impressive parts of the entire build. Approximately $27,000 was invested in a fully custom cabin finished in premium real leather. The caramel-colored upholstery extends across the contoured seating, dashboard, door panels, headliner, visors, center console, and surrounding trim. Contrasting stitching, perforated inserts, woven accent material, and billet trim demonstrate the level of craftsmanship throughout.

A custom billet steering wheel sits in front of Dakota Digital instrumentation, providing modern, accurate readings within a clean six-gauge layout. The custom center console houses a Pioneer touchscreen audio system, the Holley Sniper EFI display, dual stainless cupholders, storage, and additional controls. Integrated speakers, billet pedals, custom lighting, and a fully upholstered headliner complete the luxury presentation.

This Sierra was not built using budget components or shortcuts. From its QA1 coilover suspension and narrowed 12-bolt rear end to its Wilwood brakes, Dakota Digital gauges, Holley Sniper EFI, and approximately $27,000 custom interior, the truck reflects a substantial investment in both parts and professional craftsmanship.

For the collector searching for a premium square-body GMC with show-quality presentation, modern drivability, and high-end components throughout, this 1987 Sierra would be extremely difficult-and considerably more expensive-to duplicate today.
