Scott C's Classics & Collectibles is excited to offer this incredibly unique 1976 Mitsubishi Jeep J36 Wagon. This was based on the CJ-3B platform and built by Mitsubishi for the Japanese market. Power is supplied by a 2.7L diesel engine backed by a 4-speed column shifted manual transmission. Four-wheel drive is provided via a two-speed transfer case. An upgraded aluminum radiator keeps things cool. The body has been refinished in a two-tone white and maroon paint scheme and presents very well. Rolling stock consists of white painted steel wheels with correct original "Jeep" hubcaps. Drivability is excellent, with very positive clutch feel, braking and handling. Power steering and brakes enhance the on-road characteristics. The 4-cylinder diesel delivers smooth power and torque, and paired with the unique left-handed "on-the-tree" shifter, makes for a really fun driving experience. The interior has also been restored, and features privacy curtains on the rear windows. The original Mitsubishi radio is present. This is a highly correct restoration performed on a very hard to find "oddball" vehicle. Jeep collectors take notice! You won't see too many of these at the Jeep meets.
