Unveiled in January 2021, the BMW M5 Competition Sport (CS) was
immediately the most unbridled and exclusive M5 to date. The M5 CS
was an impressive 230 pounds lighter than the already track-focused
M5 Competition primarily thanks to a selection of carbon fiber
components including the hood and aerodynamic elements. Yet it was
also the most powerful BMW on offer at its arrival; powered by an
uprated 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 that sent 627 horsepower to
all four wheels via a recalibrated eight-speed M Steptronic
transmission and Active M Differential.
The M5 CS distinguished itself visually through yellow headlight
tubes and a tasteful arrangement of Special Gold Bronze finishes on
the kidney grille surround, badges, and 20-inch M forged alloy
wheels. Its cockpit adopted an even more focused character:
featuring M carbon sport seats in front and individual rear bucket
seats, black Merino leather upholstery with Mugello Red accents and
contrast stitching, and the Nrburgring Nordschleife motif
imprinted into all four headrests; among a bundle of other special
interior touches. Positioned at the summit of the 5-Series lineup,
the M5 CS arrived handsomely equipped with a roster of desirable
extras as standard including the Competition Package, M Driver's
Package, Dynamic Damper Control, M Carbon ceramic brakes, and
Harman Kardon surround sound. Production was limited to just one
model year only, making BMW's top-drawer M5 also one of its most
exclusive variants yet.
BMW offered its top-spec M5 in three special colors, and this 2022
M5 CS is finished in Brands Hatch Grey. This car was purchased new
in August 2021 from International BMW Milwaukee by its sole owner,
which is verified by its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. The
consignor moved their top-of-line M5 to Reno, Nevada and
attentively maintained the car through Bill Pearce BMW-where it
most recently received a service in March 2026.
After five years of careful enjoyment from its original owner, this
2022 BMW M5 CS is now offered with only 6,288 miles from new at
cataloging and is furnished with its original delivery literature
including owner's manual and warranty book in pouch. Accoutered
with many of the finest appointments in BMW's extensive catalog,
the M5 CS is one of the most exciting zero-compromise super sedans
on offer; carrying its occupants in understated opulence but ready
to deliver world-class performance at the flex of a toe.
