Inspired by the larger-than-life police detectives of mid-century comic book fame, the consignor of this 1951 Chevrolet Styleline De Luxe 4-Door Sedan commissioned a carte blanche build to craft a one-of-a-kind undercover police cruiser fit for the most hard-boiled detectives. The Styleline is equipped with several law enforcement-themed modifications including an externally mounted Si-Rex vintage siren, Lamphus SoundAlert PA system, plus red and blue lights cleverly hidden behind the grille. Its stealthy black finish, which is enveloped in a charming layer of patina, hides a reupholstered interior with bench seating and Alcantara headliner.

The elegant Styleline body, acquired in 2020, has been married to an Art Morrison Engineering (AME) GT Sport chassis. Fifteen-inch wheels wearing chrome hubcaps and Mickey Thompson Radial tires hide Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners. Combined with a four-speed automatic transmission featuring a 3.50:1 rear end gear ratio, this 1951 Chevrolet is a balanced highway cruiser that can confidently put the power down when it counts.
