For the select few Lamborghini clients who found the marque's road cars insufficiently extreme, or who had already tasted competition aboard Hurac�n Super Trofeo and GT3 machinery, Lamborghini's motorsport division conceived something more extreme still. Introduced in July 2020, the Essenza SCV12 arrived as the most extreme track-only Lamborghini yet built, joining Ferrari's XX programs and Aston Martin's Valkyrie AMR Pro in the ultra-exclusive realm of track-only hypercars. Just 40 examples were produced worldwide, developed to FIA prototype safety standards by Squadra Corse in partnership with Centro Stile.

Amidships sits the Aventador SVJ's 60-degree, 6.5-liter V12, rotated 180 degrees to accommodate a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox mounted transversely at the rear, where it acts as a stressed member of the chassis. A prominent snorkel scoop on the roof feeds the intake manifold, and with this ram-air effect the V12 delivers approximately 830 PS (819 horsepower) at 8,500 rpm, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in Lamborghini's history at the time of its debut. In place of the Aventador's all-wheel drive, the Essenza channels its considerable output through the rear wheels alone.

Every element of the exterior, stylistically and aerodynamically, works to harness that output. Mitja Borkert, Head of Lamborghini Centro Stile, described the design as "extreme but stylistically very clean, as a real racing car should be." Dual front splitters and underbody tunnels manage airflow beneath the car, while twin inlets and a central rib in the hood direct cool air toward the roof-mounted intake. At the rear, a large adjustable double-profile wing and a deep diffuser work in concert, generating some 2,650 pounds of downforce at roughly 155 mph, a figure comparable to an LMP1 prototype. The SCV12 was, in fact, the first car on the market with a full carbon chassis homologated according to the FIA Hypercar safety standards, its specification completed by Brembo calipers and carbon-ceramic discs behind lightweight magnesium wheels, 19 inches in diameter at the front and 20 at the rear, wrapped in Pirelli slick tires.

To match the car's exclusivity, Lamborghini created a boutique ownership program for its 40 fortunate buyers. Membership in the Essenza SCV12 club included two years of storage in a showroom-style garage housed within a private hangar at Sant'Agata Bolognese, complete with round-the-clock security monitoring and the "Lamborghini Squadra Corse Drivers Lab," where owners could follow athletic training programs akin to those of the factory racing drivers. Above all, club membership brought invitations to a series of exclusive "arrive and drive" track events each season, held at FIA-homologated circuits under the tutelage of Squadra Corse luminaries such as five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro and factory driver Marco Mapelli.

Now in its sixth season, the Essenza SCV12 program continues through 2026. This year's calendar opened at Imola in May, where the hypercars ran alongside the Lamborghini Arena festival and the Super Trofeo Europe field, before visiting Spa-Francorchamps in June. Two rounds remain at the time of cataloging, the first at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 28-29 September in conjunction with the official Super Trofeo Europe tests, and the finale at Monza on 23-25 October as part of the season-ending Lamborghini World Finals. The car offered here remains eligible for these gatherings (entry incurs an additional fee per event, with payment due 30 days in advance), allowing its next owner to exercise the SCV12 exactly as intended, on world-class circuits with the full support of the Squadra Corse technical team. Beyond the club calendar, the SCV12 makes an ideal companion for private track days, and Lamborghini can, for an additional fee, dispatch the car and a dedicated crew to a circuit of the owner's choosing anywhere in the world.

The Essenza SCV12 presented here, chassis number 10215, is a virtually brand-new example of Lamborghini's ultra-exclusive track-only hypercar, one of the 40 built. Its bodywork is finished in the arresting shade of Verde Gea, a green that accentuates the car's aggressive louvers and flares, set off by number "60" graphics. The cockpit is trimmed in Nero Cosmus Alcantara and fitted with FIA-homologated OMP carbon-fiber racing seats, its yoke steering wheel carrying an integrated display for gear position, lap pace, and tire data. Beneath this spartan cabin lies the new-generation carbon monocoque, engineered without an internal roll cage yet fully compliant with FIA prototype crash structures.

An accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report opens in April 2022, placing the Essenza at Lamborghini Broward in Davie, Florida, followed by a service conducted there in September 2024. The car has also returned to Sant'Agata Bolognese, where Squadra Corse carried out a factory-mandated update applied to all 40 Essenza SCV12s, before being shipped back to Florida. At the time of cataloging, the car features delivery miles and presents in functional, showroom-fresh, unraced condition, an Essenza still awaiting its first proper stint on circuit.

With Lamborghini's road-car range now fully hybridized, the Essenza SCV12 preserves the marque's naturally aspirated V12 in its purest, most potent form, an experience no showroom can any longer provide. Chassis 10215 pairs that significance with an as-delivered state of preservation, ready for the club's remaining 2026 rounds at Barcelona and Monza, and for many memorable track days thereafter.
