Porsche introduced the 911 Turbo, internally designated the Type 930, in the mid-1970s as the marque's first turbocharged production road car, and by the end of the decade it stood as the flagship of the 911 range, prized for its broad-shouldered stance and outsized performance relative to its contemporaries. Tightening emissions standards brought this chapter to a close for American buyers, and 1979 marked the final model year the 930 Turbo was offered stateside before Porsche withdrew it from the U.S. market for the following several years.

This example was sold new through Martin-Johnson Porsche Audi of Oakland, California to original owner James Wallace Jr. of La Verne. It is finished in a seldom-seen, sophisticated shade of Minerva Blue Metallic, paired with a special order Blue leather interior.
