This gorgeous Guards Red 356 Speedster Replica was built by Vintage Motorcars of CA and was special ordered by a gentleman in Colorado who actually ordered 2 brand new ones from us at the same time. We delivered both cars to him a little over 3 years ago. Unfortunately , serious health issues kept him from enjoying either one and he reached out to me to see if I could find new homes that would drive and enjoy them. I sold this guards red beauty to a gentleman in TX a year ago. He enjoyed the car but barely drove it as it now has just under 150 miles on it. He just retired and lost his company vehicle so he decided it made sense to let go of the toy which means someone else has the chance to grab it…maybe you?! An Iconic color combination, this one stands out and was ordered nicely loaded up with options including Independent Rear Suspension, E-brake mounted under dash, leather interior, German Square Weave Carpeting, heated seats, driving lights, beehive taillights, full tonneau, and more! This particular build was done in Guards Red which suits this car beautifully. It is absolutely stunning. The fit and finish most likely exceeds the original. As you will see, this one was built with the beehive taillights , driving lights, Bumper guards, mesh headlight grilles, Vintage 190 Wheels with emblem hub caps and all of the Porsche emblems to add to the authenticity. With just under 150 miles the paint and body look fantastic. There is a small chip at the top corner of the passenger door. I always recommend driving these cars top down but of course it also has a tan canvas soft top and window inserts are also provided and a matching boot cover when the top is down for a clean, sophisticated look. It also has the full tonneau cover that its down the center. As you will see this Guards Red beauty has an awesome stance and will attract all the attention you can handle.
Complementing the gorgeous Guards Red exterior is a classy Tan Leather interior with Oatmeal German Square Weave carpeting. The colors really accentuate the beauty of this car and looks even better in person than it shows in the pics. The Speedster seats are very comfortable. Door panels have our custom door pockets with document compartment, the polished door pulls. Matching dash pad and passenger side grab handle. Period correct VDO gauges with a GPS Speedometer and digital odometer allow the driver to monitor the speed and performance of this air cooled Speedster. Beautiful Wood Grain steering wheel with a Porsche horn button and vintage style turn signal lever adds to the authenticity. The e-brake was mounted under the dash like the originals. Retrosound Bluetooth stereo with speakers under dash and ready for hands free phone use. Turn the key and let the fun begin!!! As impressed as I was with the cosmetic improvements on these new builds I am equally impressed with the performance these new cars offer. With just 25 miles on it this Speedster runs and drives like a new one. The 2332 cc. is a brand new, fully balanced motor with top quality components from CB Performance.Originally Rated at 125 hp with the dual Kadron carburetors and 8.2:1 compression ratio this motor pulls strong and crisp. I would be happy to provide more technical data on the engine build for those who need it. Transmission is a 3.44 ring and pinion freeway flyer type. This combination provides excellent torque and acceleration in 1st-3rd and also allows easy highway cruising at 75 mph. Empi 5 lug 5x205mm 4 wheel disc brakes stop this Speedster precisely with ease. Handling is superb with the optional IRS Independent Rear Suspension. It also has upgraded Pirelli tires. Other features include electronic ignition, stock dog house oil cooler and remote 72pass oil cooler with electric fan thermostatically controlled. Polished Vintage 190 Aluminum 5 lug wheels with nipple Emblem hub caps. Great tone from the dual tip exhaust. Be sure to hear it running in the video below.
