that is backed by modern GM big block performance, this 1970
Chevrolet Chevelle represents the ultimate driver-focused restomod.
A comprehensive restoration took place in 2016, this Chevelle was
meticulously refinished in the timeless and highly desirable Fathom
Green, giving it a commanding presence while preserving the iconic
lines that made this Chevelle one of Chevrolets most celebrated
muscle cars.
At the heart of this build is a powerful GM Performance ZZ502ci Big
Block V8 crate engine, delivering the unmistakable torque and sound
expected from a legendary big-block Chevrolet. The 502 is paired
with a 4-speed manual transmission, providing the perfect
combination of raw performance and modern highway drivability.
Power is delivered to the pavement through a Currie 12-bolt rear
end, offering strength and reliability designed to handle the
substantial output of the big-block powerplant.
The restoration was completed with a focus on both appearance and
function. The body was fully disassembled and refinished,
showcasing the deep Fathom Green paintwork complemented by classic
white rally stripes. The exterior features a cowl induction hood,
SS-inspired trim, chrome accents, and the aggressive stance
expected from a properly built Chevelle.
Inside, the cabin has been thoughtfully upgraded while maintaining
the character of the original design. The black interior features
new upholstery, a Vintage Air climate control system, Classic
Instruments gauges, and a retro-style audio system, creating a
comfortable environment equally suited for weekend cruises or
long-distance touring.
Additional performance upgrades include upgraded suspension
components, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, tubular front control
arms, performance exhaust, with X pipe and a set of period-correct
Crager SS wheels that complete the aggressive muscle car
appearance.
