Elite Classic Cars is proud to present this elegant 1941 Cadillac
Series 62 five-passenger sedan. With its new upgraded "torpedo"
style C-body, some designers have called the 1941 Cadillac one of
the most cherished American Automobiles in history. With this new
"torpedo" style body, Cadillac sales set a new sales record. It was
a year of major styling change, and more than any other, firmly
established Cadillac's strong and extremely successful styling
identity. Along with the new "torpedo" body, the frame was
redesigned to be much more rigid for a smoother ride. This example
has had a refreshing of the body and frame to keep that Cadillac
prestige. Knowing how good Cadillac built the series 62, the owner
wanted to bring this car up to date with a new rebuilt Chevrolet
350CI V8 and a TH700R4 overdrive transmission. Knowing the
drivetrain was up to date, the frame was stripped of all the years
of grime and grease and properly undercoated. The factory rear end
was gone through and rebuilt, along with all new brake rotors and
brake lines to make sure this 4,000-pound "torpedo" stops the way
it should. It then got all new shocks to provide that "float like a
Cadillac" feel down the road. The battery, charging system, and
wiring were all upgraded to a modern 12-volt system. To help bring
the Cadillac up to modern-day cruising, the old vacuum wiper system
was thrown out, and electric wipers were installed. Keeping the
temps at bay is a new radiator. Keeping the interior as stock as
possible, it was cleaned, and new carpet was installed. Attention
then turned to the body with a fresh coat of beautiful dark green.
Sliding into this Cadillac will take you right back to 1941 with
its elegance and class, but knowing you have a modern drivetrain to
