Description:
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door hardtop was refurbished and
modified following the previous owner's acquisition in 2024. It is
powered by a 350ci V8 that was assembled with larger-diameter
pistons, an Edelbrock camshaft and intake, and aluminum heads, and
the modified TH350 three-speed automatic is linked to a 9? rear
axle with a limited-slip differential. The body was removed from
the frame and refinished in blue and white, long-tube headers and
cutouts were installed, and sound-deadening material was applied in
the cabin.
Interior:
The front bucket seats, rear bench, and door panels are trimmed in
black upholstery, while the dashboard if painted to match the body
color. The headliner, carpets, and seatbelts have been replaced,
sound and heat insulation was fitted to the firewall, roof, doors,
and floors, and custom climate control vents have been installed.
The tilting aftermarket steering wheel sits ahead of a Classic
Instruments cluster that has a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer,
and supplementary gauges.
Exterior:
The body has been repainted blue and white, and the previous owner
told us that the grille, bumpers, emblems, and front and side glass
were replaced along with the wiper and washer assemblies, and LED
headlights have been installed. The 177? American Racing Torq
Thrust II alloys with 225/55 BFGoodrich tires were fitted ahead of
the sale, and stainless-steel brake lines, 11? front and rear
rotors, GM calipers, an 8? booster, and a Corvette-style master
cylinder were added.
Drivetrain:
The 350ci V8 was recently assembled with .030?-over hypereutectic
pistons, an Edelbrock camshaft, roller rockers, and Summit Racing
aluminum heads. TH350 three-speed automatic was overhauled and
fitted with a TransGo performance shift kit and a 3,800-rpm
stall-speed converter, and it is linked with a 9? rear end with a
limited-slip differential.
