Vehicle Description

1968 Ford F-100 Coyote Restomod

5.0L Coyote V8 | Tremec 5-Speed Manual | Wilwood Four-Wheel Disc Brakes | Independent Front Suspension | Rear Four-Link

Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to present this heavily modified 1968 Ford F-100 Restomod, a thoughtfully engineered build that combines classic Ford pickup styling with modern Coyote power, a manual transmission, upgraded suspension, and serious braking capability.

Completed under prior ownership, the truck has traveled approximately 626 miles since the build and presents as a clean, purpose-built street truck with an aggressive stance and a restrained, modern appearance.

Exterior
The body is finished in a smooth Chalk Gray-style finish that complements the F-100's squared-off body lines. The paint displays strong gloss, and the body appears straight and well presented throughout. The original bumpers have been removed in favor of a fabricated front valance and a smoothed rear roll pan, giving the truck a cleaner and more contemporary profile.

The front end features a blacked-out custom grille, LED headlights, amber turn signals, and carbon-fiber-pattern headlight surrounds. Additional exterior details include locking hood latches, black door handles, modern black mirrors with amber indicator accents, and Ranger badging along the bedsides.

A set of polished 18-inch Rocket Racing wheels fills the wheel openings and works well with the lowered stance. They are wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888-series performance tires measuring 255/35ZR18 in front and 295/30ZR18 in the rear.

The bed is protected by a durable black textured liner and incorporates a flush-mounted Nuke Performance fuel filler in the bed floor. The bed remains usable while maintaining the clean presentation of the overall build.

Coyote Power
Under the hood is a modern 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8 equipped with a Boss 302 intake manifold and a cold-air intake system. The engine bay is exceptionally clean and uncluttered, with a satin-black firewall and inner fenders, blue engine accents, neatly routed wiring, and modern plumbing.

Cooling is handled by a Champion aluminum radiator with an electric fan. A Wilwood brake master cylinder is mounted to the smoothed firewall, and aftermarket hood hinges add another high-quality detail to the engine compartment.

Power is sent through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, operated by a tall floor-mounted shifter with a white shift knob. The manual gearbox gives the driver direct control over the Coyote engine and makes this F-100 far more engaging than a typical automatic restomod.

The drivetrain is completed by a Ford 8.8-inch rear axle with a limited-slip differential and Ford Racing differential cover.

Suspension and Brakes
This F-100's chassis has been substantially modernized. Up front is a later-model independent suspension assembly featuring cast-aluminum control arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and adjustable coilovers.

The rear has been converted to a four-link configuration with adjustable coilovers. This setup replaces the truck's original leaf-spring suspension and provides improved axle control, ride quality, and handling.

Braking is provided by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with highly visible yellow multi-piston calipers and large rotors. The combination of modern suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, wide performance tires, and upgraded brakes gives this truck road manners far beyond those of a factory 1968 F-100.

The frame was powder-coated black during the build and remains clean and well presented underneath.

Exhaust
A stainless dual exhaust system runs through an X-pipe and Borla Pro-XS mufflers before exiting through dual polished tips ahead of the rear wheels. The system gives the Coyote engine a muscular tone while complementing the truck's performance-oriented character.

Interior
Inside, the cab has been completely updated while retaining elements of the original F-100 dashboard design.

The black TMI bench seat features sculpted bolsters, horizontal pleated inserts, and clean double-stitched seams. A coordinated black TMI dash pad extends across the body-colored dashboard, and black carpeting completes the cabin.

A custom floor console incorporates cupholders and a Sony touchscreen stereo system. Classic Auto Air climate control provides modern heating and air conditioning, with the vents integrated neatly into the lower dashboard.

A suede-wrapped Ford Performance Sparco steering wheel features a yellow center marker and sits in front of a Dakota Digital instrument panel. The gauges include a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and dual digital information displays. The odometer currently indicates approximately 626 miles since the build.

The body-colored interior door panels retain their classic stamped-metal appearance and are paired with black armrests, manual window cranks, and black interior trim.

Condition
Based on the photographs, this F-100 presents as a very clean, well-executed custom build.

The exterior paint has good depth and gloss, with generally straight bodywork and cleanly integrated custom panels. The interior upholstery, dashboard, gauges, and trim show very little visible wear. The engine compartment is detailed and organized, while the undercarriage reflects limited mileage since completion.

Minor signs of use are visible inside the bed liner and on portions of the exhaust and undercarriage, which is expected from a driven performance truck. The photographs do not reveal any major body damage, significant paint defects, torn upholstery, or obvious corrosion concerns.
