Vehicle Description

1964 Chevrolet El Camino LS Restomod

6.0L GM LS V8 | 4L60E Overdrive Automatic | Vintage Air | Dakota Digital | Four-Wheel Disc Brakes

Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to present this beautifully built 1964 Chevrolet El Camino LS Restomod. Finished in eye-catching PPG Victory Red, this first-generation El Camino combines timeless Chevrolet styling with the reliability, performance, and comfort of a modern LS-powered drivetrain.

The body is exceptionally straight with excellent panel fit and a deep, glossy finish that gives the truck an impressive presence from every angle. Bright chrome trim, polished bumpers, and 17-inch chrome Ridler wheels complement the vibrant paint, while the lowered stance provides a clean, aggressive look without sacrificing drivability.

Power comes from a dependable GM 6.0-liter LS V8 backed by a 4L60E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, delivering modern reliability, excellent street manners, and effortless highway cruising. Opening the hood reveals a clean, well-organized engine compartment with body-color inner fenders and firewall, a factory-style LS intake, color-matched engine covers, aluminum radiator, polished cold-air intake, modern wiring, and tasteful plumbing that reflects the quality of the build rather than simply hiding components.

Driving dynamics have been substantially upgraded with CPP tubular front control arms, sway bars, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes. Combined with the modern drivetrain, these upgrades make this El Camino feel significantly more refined than its 1960s origins.

Inside, the cabin has been restored with a tasteful custom appearance while preserving the original design. The tan full leather bench seat features clean vertical pleated stitching with matching door panels and a coordinated dash pad that contrasts beautifully against the Victory Red interior metal. Dakota Digital VHX gauges provide modern instrumentation with crisp white faces and digital odometer/trip displays while maintaining a period-correct appearance. Vintage Air climate control keeps the cabin comfortable, and the painted steering column with matching red steering wheel ties the interior together beautifully. The headliner is tight and clean, and the interior presents with very little visible wear.

One of the standout features is the cargo bed, finished with an LMC hardwood bed kit featuring polished stainless bed strips. The wood finish is rich and glossy, giving the rear of the truck an upscale presentation that's equally at home at local cruise nights or national-level shows.

Underneath, the truck continues to impress. The chassis appears clean and solid with upgraded suspension components, tidy exhaust routing, aluminum transmission cooler, and a professionally installed dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The undercarriage shows evidence of a driven, properly maintained vehicle rather than an over-restored trailer queen.

An extensive folder of receipts, invoices, build documentation, and service records accompanies the truck, providing valuable history of the build and maintenance.

Condition

Based on the photographs, this El Camino presents exceptionally well throughout.

Paint retains excellent gloss and depth with straight body panels.
Chrome and stainless trim show very nicely.
Engine compartment is detailed and professionally finished.
Interior upholstery, headliner, dash, and door panels appear excellent.
Hardwood bed floor is beautifully finished with only minimal signs of use.
Wheels present very well, with the polished finish showing nicely.
The underside is clean and organized, reflecting a quality build.

As expected on a driven classic, there are a few very minor signs of use visible upon close inspection, including a handful of light marks on portions of the undercarriage and suspension components. I do not see any significant paint flaws, rust concerns, damaged trim, torn upholstery, or obvious cosmetic defects in the provided photographs.
