This custom 1956 Ford F-100 combines classic styling with modern
performance and drivability. Powered by a built Ford 302 V8
featuring Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, an Edelbrock Roller
Thumper cam, roller rockers, roller timing chain, and Pro-Flo 4
electronic fuel injection, it delivers reliable power and easy
starts. The engine is paired with a Stage II AOD overdrive
automatic transmission and torque converter, making it an excellent
highway cruiser capable of comfortably cruising at 70 mph.
Handling and braking have been thoroughly upgraded with a Mustang
II independent front suspension featuring power rack-and-pinion
steering and front disc brakes. Out back is a Ford 9-inch rear axle
with a Nodular Speedway center section, Daytona pinion support,
3.89 limited-slip differential, and a 22-gallon fuel tank with an
in-tank 225 LPH fuel pump.
Additional performance upgrades include Doug's ceramic-coated Tri-Y
headers feeding a custom 304 stainless steel exhaust with
crossover, custom exhaust tips, and electric exhaust cutouts.
Supporting components include a Flow Kooler water pump, Powermaster
alternator, all-new wiring, and a Lokar shifter with kickdown
linkage.
The truck's exterior features 3-inch widened rear fenders,
one-piece tinted side glass, Eddie Motorsports billet hood hinges,
United Pacific LED taillights, newer chrome front and rear bumpers,
a Gaylord hard tonneau cover, and a Class III trailer hitch.
Inside, the cabin has been completely customized with upholstered
seats, door panels, headliner, and flooring, along with Vintage Air
heating and air conditioning, a custom audio system with XM radio
and aux connectivity
Originally from Southern California, this F-100 has been featured
in two magazine articles documenting the installation of its
Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 fuel injection system and later the 22-gallon
fuel system upgrade. With its thoughtful blend of classic
appearance, modern comfort, and proven performance, this is a
well-sorted custom pickup that's equally at home on the highway or
at local shows.
