1966 Mustang GT Convertible- BEAUTIFUL RESTORATION - Powered by its
factory A-code 289 cubic-inch V8 engine with a four-barrel carb.
and 3-speed manual transmission. Finished in highly desirable and
factory correct "Ivy Green Metallic" paint over light Ivy gold and
white vinyl Pony interior. The body and undercarriage have been
restored and present exceptionally well. Recent work includes new
sway bar links and bushings, rear Gabriel Excel-G shocks, stainless
steel brake lines, a stainless steel fuel tank, new
weatherstripping throughout, and a new front windshield. The car
retains its power-operated convertible top with matching boot and
rides on factory-style steel wheels. The white and green Pony
interior has been restored with new seats, carpeting, seat belts,
floor mats, door handles, and dash components. It features the
factory woodgrain steering wheel and five-gauge GT instrument
cluster featuring fuel, oil pressure, battery, temperature gauges,
and speedometer. All of which are functioning properly. The
odometer currently reads only 7,034 miles since restoration. The GT
package includes front disc brakes, a larger front stabilizer bar,
heavy-duty GT suspension, GT rocker stripes, grille-mounted fog
lights, dual exhaust with chrome trumpets exiting through the rear
valance, and the quicker GT steering ratio with manual steering.
This 1966 Mustang GT Convertible is one of the nicest GTs we've had
the opportunity to own. The quality of the restoration, its Ivy
Green Metallic finish, and the attention to detail throughout make
it a car that continues to draw attention every time it's seen.
Ready to drive and enjoy, it's a beautifully presented example of
one of Ford's most iconic 1960s performance cars.
