Lincoln built exactly 2,276 Continental convertibles in 1967. This
was the last year for the four-door convertible. It was also the
last American four-door convertible ever made. These cars cost
about $6,449 which was extremely expensive for its time.
These cars are famous for their rear-hinged, center-opening
"suicide" doors. The convertible has a fully automatic folding
fabric roof. It does not use a hard cover (boot) to hide the top
when it is down. Instead, the trunk lid opens backwards to hide the
roof inside.
The 1967 Continental is a very large at 221 inches long.
Starts, runs and drives as well as good brakes. The exterior color
is very unique and period fitting for 1967. Since the car had not
been driven regularly it will require some love and attention to
bring it into full time driving condition. (See Disclosures below)
Convertible top is in good working condition as seen in the full
running driving video. Odometer reads 75,812 miles and is believed
to be accurate.
