1965 Superformance Cobra MkIII 427 S/C - Keith Craft 514ci EFI V8,
765 HP
We are proud to offer this exceptional Superformance Cobra MkIII
427 S/C, a beautifully built and highly developed example finished
in Royal Blue with twin White stripes. Sitting on 15-inch
Halibrand-style wheels wrapped in fresh Mickey Thompson tires, this
Cobra combines timeless Shelby styling with breathtaking
performance.
Power comes from a Keith Craft-built 514 cubic-inch Ford V8
featuring CNC-ported cylinder heads and an 8-stack electronic fuel
injection system. Producing an incredible 765 horsepower and 695
lb-ft of torque, this engine delivers explosive acceleration while
remaining surprisingly street-friendly and comfortable on long
drives. At 427 Garage, we're fortunate to drive many
high-horsepower Cobras, but this one offers a level of performance
that leaves a lasting impression.
Over the years, the Cobra has been meticulously maintained and
continuously improved. Major service work includes engine and
transmission rebuilds, a twin-disc clutch, and a recent tune-up.
Performance upgrades include QA1 adjustable shocks, Wilwood brakes,
performance sway bars, and a professionally corner-balanced chassis
with an impressive 49:51 weight distribution. An upgraded fuel
system with a catch tank ensures reliable fuel delivery, even under
aggressive driving.
Unlike many high-performance builds, this Cobra has been driven and
enjoyed as intended. Its outstanding service history reflects years
of careful ownership and thoughtful maintenance, making it an
exceptionally well-sorted car that's ready for its next
adventure.
Touring equipment includes a soft top, side curtains, tonneau
cover, and heated seats, making it as enjoyable on weekend road
trips as it is on spirited back-road drives.
The Cobra is titled as a 1965 Shelby Cobra in Tennessee and, having
been built 27 years ago, is eligible for import into Canada and
many European countries.
