Here is a really fine and beautiful example of a Shadow II.
Finished in Masons black with gold/tan fine lines to the waist-rail
and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome biscuit tan
Connolly hides and matching Wilton carpets. The same biscuit tan
theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested example
that has been nicely maintained and presents in excellent
condition. This was a west coast and Arizona car all its life so it
is a "dry" car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it
has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean
underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and
comes with its original manual. Being a 1980 build car it comes
with all the technical upgrades of the course of the model
including twin rear-view door mirrors. The body on this Shadow II
is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car was
repainted some 10 years ago and was a high quality job ($25,000).
The finish is entirely consistent. When you look down the sides of
the car, they are very straight and true. The paint presents
absolutely beautifully with only the most minor little mark here
and there from use. Certainly, it needs nothing other than a wax
from time to time. The interior is excellent. The leather is in
very nice original condition with virtually no cracks, tears nor
fading and very supple and soft - true to its Connolly
characteristics. It still shows the factory original "grain-toning"
in the leather - fantastic! There are "crease lines" on the front
seats but overall lovingly preserved. The burr walnut wood
throughout the car is stunning. All the dash, door cappings and
vanity mirrors were redone to "factory standard" by Madeira wood
about 5 years ago. The process was done in accordance with the
Rolls-Royce "multi-layer lacquering technique" which involves
painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats. The
final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning. The head
lining is in perfect condition without any marks whatsoever. The
original carpets are in good condition. Likewise is the leather
finishes to the dash and top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the
same biscuit tan finish is in excellent condition. The tyres are
period correct Michelin whitewalls which drive smooth and
comfortably but will be replaced as part of our Predelivery
Commissioning program, simply because of age. The hubcaps are
excellent with no major imperfections in the stainless or painted
trim rings. The pin-striping on the beauty rings are finished in
the original hand-painted technique. All remaining bright-work is
in good condition as is glass, electrics and instruments. The car
has its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. Under
the bonnet, the presentation is very clean and original. It has not
been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout
its life. The car shows 107,000 miles which we believe are
accurate. To be frank, condition-wise, she looks as though she has
done half those miles. Prospective owners need not be concerned
with mileage (mind you; 107,000 miles is only some 2,500 miles per
year!). Although, psychologically, we like the concept of low
miles, Silver Shadows like to be driven. They maintain better and
behave more operationally consistent. And, having been driven in
dry climates you know she has remained clean underneath. That all
said, the Silver Shadow II presented here is subject Park-Ward
Motors' "Predelivery Commissioning" process which ensures all and
everything needed is attended to. The car will be delivered with
all major and minor services done including important costly items
such as the hydraulics and brakes fully inspected and serviced as
required. The Predelivery Commissioning program is not just limited
to mechanical aspects but all operational features and functions as
well; air conditioning, electric windows, seats and so on. All
electrics are checked right do
