This 1986 Ford F-250 Supercab XLT Lariat 4WD truck is a 3 Owner,
super clean, mostly original truck that spent its life in Idaho and
Montana. It is powered by the 6.9L Diesel engine and has a 4 Speed
Manual Transmission. Within the last year the previous owner went
trough the mechanics on it with plans to travel the country. No
expense was spared and we have a folder full of receipts and
documentation. His plans and circumstances changed so he sold the
truck. This was an XLT lariat so this was a loaded truck for that
year. The body on this F250 is clean and straight. The Silver
Metallic and Medium Dark Fire Red paint appears to be all original
and the paint still shines nice and looks great. All of the chrome
and trim is original and nice. It has an aftermarket Warn Front
Bumper that was installed long ago outfitted with a Warn 8274 Winch
that does work. When the truck was being prepared the last owner
sprayed Wool-Wax on the underside to protect it. The underside is
super clean and we found no rust issues with this vehicle.
The interior is amazing on this truck!! The seat upholstery, door
panels, carpet, deluxe dash bezel, and deluxe steering wheel are
all original and excellent! It has a new headliner and a dash cover
installed because the dash had some cracks. The headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The
gauges all work. The cruise, windshield wipers, and horn works. It
has working power windows and power locks. The heat and AC work. It
has an aftermarket stereo that does work.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great!
As stated earlier it has had a lot of maintenance done to make it a
reliable truck. The engine is the 6.9L IDI Diesel that has an ATS
Turbo Kit that was put on it back in the day. It runs excellent. It
has all new belts and hoses, new oil and fuel filter, oil change,
new water pump, coolant flush, new injection pump, new injectors,
new lines, turbo was resealed, new valve cover gaskets, new glow
plugs and controller, new power steering pump, new alternator, and
2 newer batteries. The transmission is the np435 4 Speed Manual
that shifts nice with a newer clutch kit, new fluid, and new slave
and master cylinder. It is mated to the Borg warner Manual Transfer
Case with new fluid and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle
is a Ford 10.5 with 4.10 gears and a factory Limited Slip. The
front axle is the Dana 44 TTB with 4.10 gears. Both axles have new
fluid. Other items addressed were new shocks, new rear brake shoes,
new rear wheel cylinders, new wheel bearings. This is all sitting
on Ford factory Aluminum Wheels with All terrain tires size
235/75/16.
