This 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG is an exceptionally well-preserved
example of AMG's first V8-powered C-Class. One of approximately
1,500 examples imported to the U.S., it has remained with its
second owner since 2015 after being purchased from the original
owner. Originally a California car, it has always been garage-kept
in a climate-controlled environment and meticulously
maintained.
Power comes from the factory 4.3-liter M113 V8 producing 302
horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed
automatic transmission. Recent maintenance includes a new
alternator, fresh oil service, a new headliner, replacement
overhead console, repaired driver's side mirror mechanism, and
updated rear taillights. The suspension was upgraded approximately
seven to eight years ago, lower control arms have been replaced
under current ownership, while upgraded European-spec projector
headlights enhance visibility.
The car currently rides on 18-inch AMG Monoblock wheels, with the
original 17-inch AMG wheels included in the sale. Also included are
the original amber corner lights, spare front grille, factory tool
kit, first aid kit, both sets of floor mats, all keys, a European
Mercedes ski bag, 1:43-scale die-cast model, and numerous original
parts included.
Finished with a rare two-tone Silverstone and Black leather
interior with gray contrast stitching, the cabin presents
exceptionally well, and the factory Bose sound system remains fully
functional. This one of the most complete and well-documented C43
AMG examples available.
