For Sale: 1950 Studebaker Champion in Washington , New Jersey

Vehicle Description

1950 Studebaker Champion Deluxe 2-Door Sedan "Bullet Nose" (9G-F3)

33,118 Documented Original Miles • Frame-Off Restoration • Factory Comanche Red

Offered for sale is this exceptionally well-preserved 1950 Studebaker Champion Deluxe 2-Door Sedan (9G-F3), finished in its factory color of Comanche Red and showing just 33,118 documented original miles. Benefiting from a comprehensive frame-off restoration completed in Florida approximately 20 years ago, this rust-free example has been meticulously maintained, always garage stored, and recently underwent a comprehensive mechanical inspection and service.  The result is a Champion that is equally rewarding to drive as it is to display.

Powered by its original 169.6-cu.in. flathead inline-six paired with the factory three-speed column-shift manual transmission, the car is believed to retain its original drivetrain and continues to operate on its original 6-volt electrical system, preserving the authenticity and character that collectors appreciate. Its documented original mileage, factory-correct presentation, and thoughtful restoration distinguish it from many examples available today.

Prior to being offered for sale, the car underwent a comprehensive mechanical inspection and service by a professional mechanic experienced with vintage automobiles. Any items requiring attention were addressed, and today every functional system on the vehicle is operating properly. The car starts easily, idles smoothly, shifts confidently, and drives exceptionally well.

The quality of the restoration is immediately evident throughout the automobile. The body is exceptionally straight, and the Comanche Red finish continues to shine more than two decades after restoration. Chrome, stainless trim, glass, and brightwork remain in excellent condition, while the engine compartment and trunk are clean, correct, and highly detailed—reflecting a restoration completed with authenticity and long-term preservation in mind.

Inside, the correct tan interior remains in outstanding condition. The upholstery, headliner, dashboard, gauges, steering wheel, and trim all reflect the same attention to detail found throughout the rest of the automobile. The interior reflects the same level of craftsmanship and long-term preservation evident throughout the vehicle.

This vehicle is one of several carefully selected Studebakers being offered from a private family collection assembled by a lifelong Studebaker enthusiast and longtime Studebaker Drivers Club member. Each automobile in the collection was chosen for its originality, mechanical integrity, and long-term preservation, then carefully maintained over many years. This Champion exemplifies that philosophy.

The sale includes documentation and materials accumulated during ownership. A complete inventory of those materials will be available as they are reviewed.
