come as no surprise that classic sport utility vehicles have taken
the classic car world by storm, becoming one of the most popular
classes of collector vehicle. Offering practicality and infinite
modification potential, the Ford Bronco is one of the vehicles
leading the charge. This 1973 Ford Bronco has been comprehensively
customized, with nearly every system being upgraded with
high-quality parts, making for a truly one of a kind truck.Starting
life as a largely standard open-top 1973 Bronco, the truck received
a complete repaint in a stunning deep candy blue. Before the paint,
a set of bolt-on overfenders were installed to cover the planned
larger tires, and a fiberglass hood was also fitted. The truck then
received a sizable lift using high quality springs and Bilstein
independent reservoir shocks, and sits on a set of 18-inch Fuel
wheels wrapped in 38-inchToyo Open Country A/T tires. To make
ingress and egress easier, a set of side steps have been fitted,
and powdercoated front and rear bumpers really tie the rugged
off-road look together.Inside the cabin, four Corbeau bucket seats
have been installed to keep you planted when going off road. In
keeping with the Bronco's basic ethos, the floor has been covered
in bedliner, making it easy to wash or sweep out when it gets
filled with dirt and mud. A billet steering wheel sits in front of
the driver, framing a speedometer set in a beautiful metal housing.
Between the driver and passenger sits a unique control system for
the 3-speed automatic gearbox - a set of "Lightning Rods" which are
most commonly seen in drag racing. Although these can be operated
like a standard automatic, the 3 additional levers allow you to
shift quickly between gears, or lock the transmission in a single
speed - which could be beneficial in off road situation.Under the
hood sits a Ford Windsor small block V8 that offers great
performance and a killer sound. Sitting on top of the engine is an
Edelbrock Performer carburetor affixed to an aluminum dual-plane
intake manifold. MSD Pro-Billet distributor ensures the car gets
good quality spark, and a high-quality serpentine belt system
ensures the car's ancillary systems are all working properly. Power
is sent through a 3-speed automatic to all four wheels via a
shiftable transfer case, with dual control levers situated in front
of the center console. The best thing about vintage SUV ownership
is, it's a comfortable way to enjoy the classic car hobby with your
whole family. This summer, take the top off, enjoy the punchy V8
and make use of the high quality upgraded suspension doing some
off-roading, or just cruising around town - however you decide to
use this Bronco, it will put a smile on your face every time you
take it out.--For more information on this 1973 Ford Bronco or any
