For your consideration, 1975 Datsun 280Z 2+2. 2.8-liter fuel injected 6-cylinder engine and 5-speed transmission. (originally an automatic) The transmission is from a 280ZX with correct larger clutch for the 2+2, installed less than 10K miles ago. It currently has 86,600 original miles. I bought this fine example in 2005 from the original owner’s son, at that time she had 66,xxx miles and had always been garaged in Oregon, where it is currently registered with the original Yellow Oregon license plates. (the car is now located in Palm Coast Florida) She was repainted the original color in 1996, the paint is shinny but has some flaws, (as seen in the pictures) but pretty good for a 30year old paint job. The factory black interior is mostly stock, the seats were recovered with cloth centers about 10 years ago and a full dash cover installed at that time, the carpets, back seats and door panels are original and in very good condition. There is a Sony AM/FM/CD installed, but I have the original AM/FM radio. (Dash was Not cut to install stereo) A 240Z “wood” steering wheel is on the car (I do have the original.) The 5-MPH “big” 280Z bumpers were replaced with 1974 260Z bumpers (the rear one was re-chromed). Most latches and brackets have been re-plated zinc dichromate (gold zinc) and the original hose clamps have been re-plated silver zinc. Most of the emblems have been replaced with NOS (not reproductions). The wheels are 16x7 Konig Rewinds with 205/55/16 tires (these are the same height as the stock size tires as to not affect speedometer) I have the original steel wheels with full wheel covers. Over the last 20 years she has been in numerous car shows and in 2015 took second place in the Forest Grove Concourse de elegance in Oregon. (trophy included) She runs and drives great and I have receipts and paperwork going back to the 1970s.
