Inline 6 | 3 Speed Manual | Factory F100 Custom Short Bed |
Complete Body Off Restoration 2016 | Deluxe Mart Report
The timeless styling of Ford's iconic F-Series meets tasteful
craftsmanship and dependable simplicity in this beautifully
restored 1970 Ford F100 Custom Short Bed.
Power comes from Ford's dependable inline-six engine paired with
the desirable three-speed column-shift manual transmission,
delivering a nostalgic driving experience that's becoming
increasingly difficult to find. Hedman headers feed a custom dual
exhaust system for a crisp, unmistakable exhaust note, while the
3.00:1 rear gear allows the truck to comfortably cruise at 60 MPH
with the engine turning just 2,000 RPM.
The suspension has been tastefully lowered approximately three
inches, giving the truck an aggressive yet refined stance. A
dropped I-beam front suspension is complemented by new Eaton
Detroit Spring lowering leaf springs in the rear, maintaining
excellent ride quality while dramatically improving its appearance.
Rolling on 18-inch Detroit Steel Smoothie wheels wrapped in Cooper
Evolution 235/55R18 tires, the truck perfectly blends classic
styling with modern road manners.
Finished in a stunning two-tone combination of Seafoam Green and
Chrysler Cool Vanilla, the body showcases a high-quality
professional frame-off restoration. Metal preparation and paintwork
were completed to an exceptional standard, with beautiful panel
alignment and consistent gaps throughout. The body, paint, fit, and
finish are outstanding, while the doors close with the reassuring
solid feel expected from a properly restored classic. A spray-in
bedliner protects the bed without distracting from the truck's
clean presentation.
Inside, the custom two-tone interior continues the truck's
thoughtful design. The custom upholstered bench seat complements
the exterior color scheme, while a custom dash panel houses a full
set of Dolphin analog gauges, blending vintage styling with
improved functionality. Every piece of glass has been replaced with
lightly tinted glass, accompanied by all new weatherstripping and
seals for a quiet, well-finished cabin.
Keeping with its classic personality, the truck retains manual
steering and a dual master cylinder drum brake system, offering an
authentic driving experience while benefiting from the added safety
of the upgraded dual-circuit braking system.
This 1970 Ford F100 Custom Short Bed is the kind of truck that's
becoming increasingly difficult to duplicate-a true turnkey classic
ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
