This 1985 Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) is a really cool and highly
upgraded Scrambler that was completed around 2018. This Scrambler
is titled as an Assembled vehicle and has a fiberglass body. The
Vin # on the listing is what the Jeep was originally before being
assembled. We do not have the backstory on why it was assembled and
the frame has no patches the we found. We received some receipts
but not enough to document everything. It really is a great build
and it runs and drives awesome. It has around 5,000 miles on the
build and the last owner used it strictly as a summer toy for the
last 3 years. The body is nice and straight and is all fiberglass
except for the grille. The Dark Green Metallic paint looks
beautiful!! It has aftermarket tubular side steps and aftermarket
front and rear bumpers. The front bumper has a Warn 8274 8,000
pound winch that works. It has a newer Bestop full Soft top Soft
doors. The frame is solid and excellent with no patches.
The interior is very nice. It has aftermarket front Bestop seats
and a factory rear seat. It has BedRug carpeting on the floor. It
has a Tuffy locking center console, aftermarket steering wheel, and
nice original dash pad. They put all new Autometer gauges in that
are working. It has a nice aftermarket stereo with a speaker bar.
It has a custom full family style roll cage that is tied into the
frame. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals
are all working. The horn, windshield wipers, and heater all
work.
Mechanically this Jeep is top notch and it runs and dives
excellent. The engine is a custom built 5.7L Chevy 350 V8 that runs
strong with no issues or red flags that we found. It has 10.5.1
compression pistons with Vortec heads and a lot of nice upgrades.
It has roller rockers, a mild cam, aluminum intake, Holley 4 barrel
carb, HEI ignition, headers with dual Flowmaster exhaust, aluminum
radiator with electric fan, serpentine belt system, all new belts
and hoses. It has the nv4500 5 Speed Manual transmission that
shifts great with a new clutch and new slave and master cylinder.
It is mated to the twin stick Dana 300 transfer case and the 4WD
works like it should. They added new custom driveshafts when it was
built. The rear axle is an AMC 20 with 4.88 gears and a locker. The
front axle is a custom built Ford 9 inch with 4.88 gears and a
limited slip. It has 4 wheel power disc brakes with a Corvette
style master cylinder and brake booster. The lift is a 4 Inch with
HD Shackles and dual shocks on a 4 corners. This is all sitting on
a nice set of Beadlock Rims with 37 Inch Yokohama Geolander X-MT
tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
