Since September 1999, Street Dreams Texas has been bringing classic
American muscle and collector cars to enthusiasts around the world.
Some cars stand out because of their rarity, while others earn
their reputation through the quality of their craftsmanship. This
1970 Plymouth Road Runner belongs in the latter category,
representing a meticulous restoration that was built to an
exceptionally high standard and refined into the outstanding driver
it is today. The foundation for this Road Runner was laid by a
devoted Mopar enthusiast who put $180k into setting out to build
one of the finest examples possible, sparing little expense before
the project was left unfinished. We completed the restoration,
carefully sorting every remaining detail-from fine-tuning the
ignition timing and shifter adjustment to resolving cooling system
issues-resulting in a car that now runs and drives every bit as
well as it looks. After selling the car about a year ago, it has
returned to our inventory with only about 170 miles on the fresh
build, offering the next owner the opportunity to own an
extensively restored Road Runner without waiting years for a
restoration to be completed. Finished in eye-catching Tor-Red (EV2)
over a Black bench seat interior (H2XW), the body is exceptionally
straight with outstanding panel alignment. The freshly painted
chassis is detailed to the same high standard as the exterior,
making this a car you'll be just as proud to display underneath as
you will with the hood raised. A new set of YearOne Mopar Rallye
wheels measuring 17x8 up front and 17x9 in the rear wrapped in
Nitto NT555 G2 performance tires gives the car an aggressive stance
while maintaining its unmistakable Mopar identity. The addition of
the iconic Road Runner character decal on the passenger door
completes the authentic appearance. Power comes from a stout 440
cubic-inch V8 producing approximately 550 horsepower and backed by
a rebuilt A833 four-speed manual transmission. The engine features
Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, a Mopar high-rise aluminum
intake, Holley four-barrel carburetor, SCAT forged connecting rods,
a custom solid-lifter camshaft, ARP fasteners, a Melling
high-volume oil pump, an aluminum water pump, and a Be Cool
aluminum radiator. An H-pipe exhaust system delivers the
unmistakable sound that every big-block Mopar deserves, and this
Road Runner has more than enough power to leave a little rubber
behind in every gear. Driving manners are equally impressive thanks
to Borgeson power steering, power front disc brakes with drilled
and slotted rotors, QA1 adjustable front suspension components,
heavy-duty Mopar rear springs, Vintage Air Gen IV climate control,
and generous Dynamat insulation throughout the cabin. The result is
a muscle car that delivers modern confidence without sacrificing
its unmistakable 1970 character. Included with the car is a custom
red California Car Cover embroidered specifically for a 1970 Road
Runner, providing added protection when this show-quality machine
isn't turning heads. Whether it's displayed at a national Mopar
event or enjoyed on a winding back road, this Road Runner offers
the rare combination of concours-level presentation and
exhilarating performance. Street Dreams Texas is proud to offer
collector vehicles that have been carefully selected for their
quality and craftsmanship. Contact us at 830-997-1950 to learn more
