This 2001 Ford Excursion Limited is an exceptionally nice vehicle
powered by the highly sought after 7.3L Power-stroke Diesel engine.
This is a 3 owner rig that has obviously been well cared for by
each owner. It spent most of its life in South Dakota and the last
owner was from Minnesota where it was an extra vehicle that was
used for vacations and always stored in the winter. The body on
this truck is extra clean and straight. The Toreador Red paint
looks beautiful and appears to be all original with the exception
of the cowl hood which was painted to match. The last owner added
metallic gray to the bottom to give it a custom look and it looks
great! He also upgraded to lighted mirrors and added nice Westin
running boards along wit cab lights. All of the original chrome and
trim is excellent. It has a really cool Rhino Rack Roof Rack with a
ladder and Kayak holder. He had the underside professionally
undercoated and wool waxed. He did this as a preventative measure
as the underside was clean before it was done. We found no evidence
of rust or rust issues anywhere.
The interior is also in excellent condition. All of the seats were
redone in Katskin Leather which is much nicer than the original
leather. The carpet, door panels, headliner, dash, dash bezel are
original and still in excellent shape. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
It has working power windows and power locks. It has working power
mirrors and power rear vent windows. It has working power heated
seats. It has tilt wheel and cruise that works. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The front and rear heat and AC also work.
It has a really nice aftermarket stereo system with Apple
Carplay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, backup camera. It also has an
aftermarket remote start and alarm system.
Mechanically this Excursion is awesome and it runs and drives
wonderful. It has the 7.3L Powerstroke engine that runs strong with
no issues or red flags that we found. It is totally stock except
for the added SuperChip Controller that last owner installed for
better fuel mileage. The transmission is the 4R100 that shifts
great and it is mated to the Borg warner electronic shift transfer
case. the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Ford 10.5
with 3.73 gears. The front axle is a dana 50 with 3.73 gears. The
last owner also installed a BDS 4 Inch lift with Fuel Wheels and
Falken Wild Peak AT tires size 305/65/18. They don't get much nicer
than this and there are some very nice add ons.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
